[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] SEOUL, May 27 — LS Securities has lifted its upper target for the KOSPI to 10,000 points, citing sustained momentum in the AI-driven growth cycle.
Analyst Jung Da-woon said continued inflows from retail investors and relatively attractive forward valuation levels support a higher market ceiling. The new target implies a forward price-to-book ratio of around 2.7 times.
However, the firm noted that uncertainties remain, including interest rates, inflation, and potential volatility tied to the AI investment cycle.
Jung added that achieving the 10,000-point level would likely require policy easing by the Federal Reserve, including rate cuts and regulatory support.
The report also pointed to the potential impact of a major IPO by SpaceX, which could absorb significant market liquidity and influence global equity flows.
