[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Korea Development Bank is set to arrange approximately KRW 2.5 trillion in financing for Doosan Group as it prepares to acquire SK Siltron, according to industry sources on May 18.

Doosan plans to fund roughly half of the estimated KRW 5 trillion acquisition cost through KDB-led financing. The policy bank will act as a joint arranger alongside Woori Bank.

Of the total financing package, KRW 1 trillion is expected to be used directly for the acquisition, while the remaining KRW 1.5 trillion will be allocated to address repayment obligations tied to existing borrowings triggered by the change in ownership.

The financing structure remains preliminary, and the final amount, as well as the allocation between KDB and Woori Bank, has yet to be finalized.
